Industry Breakfast
At
every opportunity, the Association brings together management
executives for networking opportunities. Often these occur at
industry trade shows and every fall the Association has taken
advantage of the gathering of such individuals at the ISA Expo for
nearly 15 years.
The 2009 Industry Forum at ISA Expo
is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7 in Houston,
Texas at the Reliant Center. Dr. Jeff Dietrich of the
Institute for Trend Research, whose organization provides a
semi-annual report on the business cycles of MCAA user industries,
will once again bring his special insight into the economic crisis into which the
country and world had plunged in the days just prior to the event.
Having consistently predicted (for more than three years) a recession beginning in late 2008, ITR has kept MCAA members focused on what steps to take
to position themselves for this economic downturn. Although we
wish Dr. Dietrich had not been quite "so right,"
we now have the confidence to say that his outlook for the
recovery commands your attention!
The Association
has also scheduled two other networking and educational events
during the fall of 2009--an Industry
Breakfast at Weftec 09 on Tuesday, October 13 at The Peabody in
Orlando, FL, where Paul Rasmusson of Global Foresight Group will
update the MCAA Market Forecast which is prepared by his company
exclusively for MCAA members. Mr. Rasmusson will offer special
emphasis on the water and wastewater industries as compared to the
other process industry segments covered in the Forecast. A
Reception and Education session
is also scheduled for Wednesday November 11 at the Javits Center in
conjunction with Chem Show 09 in New York City. At that event,
Mike Willey, a partner to Mr. Rasmusson in the Global Foresight
Group, will also update the Forecast but offer special emphasis on
the chemical industry. Members and
those interested in membership are encouraged to attend one or more
of these important networking and educational opportunities.
The Industry Breakfast is an unparalleled opportunity to take the
pulse of your industry and enjoy the camaraderie of your peers ...
other top executives and company officers. You'll also have a
chance to learn how MCAA, the trade association of the measurement,
control and automation industry, can help your company remain
competitive in today's global marketplace. Non-members of the
Association are welcome to attend the Industry Breakfast to learn
more about MCAA and enjoy the networking that MCAA affords its
members.
