Dr. Lisa Lang, Science of Business Dr. Lisa is joining MCAA once again to discuss the key Theory of Constraints marketing concept – the Mafia Offer. A Mafia Offer is “an offer so good your customers can’t refuse it, and your competitors can’t or won’t offer the same”. A Mafia Offer is the solution for a market constraint. Participants will learn: to determine if they have a market constraint, the guidelines for creating a Mafia Offer and what it takes to deliver a Mafia Offer.

Edward J. Curry, Partner, Curry & Hurd, LLC 2009 was a unique (and often painful) business year for everyone. Ed Curry, who has been making a presentation to the MCAA members on the results of the Association's annual Operating Benchmarks Report returns to the podium to look at what this industry-specific report reveals about our industry. Again this year he will offer his insight on a high level review and analysis of the report which covers 2005-2009 as well as look at the performance of the largest public companies in our industry. We all hope that 2009's performance won't be repeated in future years but a thorough understanding of what transpired and the why's behind the performance will help position your company better in the future.

The review will also include the updated Regional Market Potential assessment changes between 2006 and 2009 for five US and five Canadian regions.

Members of the Board will discuss the various programs of the Association, the results of the 2009 Membership Satisfaction Survey and other plans on the horizon for the Association. The MCAA Sales eUniversity program will be specifically highlighted so that members can learn more about how they can train their salespeople in sales techniques specific to the process control industry together with technology theory and end-user processes and applications—a truly unique and industry-specific program offering. During the MCAA Business Meeting, new officers and directors will be elected.
