Patricia J. Torrance, Membership Development Manager

Trish began her career in instrumentation working for five years in Marketing for ABB.  After having her first child, Trish opted for a home office environment afforded by management of the Canadian Process Control Association (sister association to MCAA). During the past seven years Trish has been independently responsible for management of CPCA, and has seen membership grow from 18 – 44 member companies, an increase of 144%.

Trish has been actively involved in marketing and member recruiting for MCAA for the past year.  It is her passion is to spread the message that these associations can provide real value for members, something she knows well due to her background.

She has a Bachelor of Sociology from the University of Waterloo and Marketing Diploma from Humber College.  In her spare time she runs a charity for Sick Kids Hospital, raising over $1 million towards brain tumour research.  She also loves spending time traveling with her family (husband Rob and daughter Jessica), especially throughout North Americas wine countries.  She also enjoys digging in the garden, relaxing with friends and touring through the country roads around Toronto on her new Suzuki V Strom.
