Brian G. LaBelle, Director-at-Large

Brian LaBelle began his career in measurement, control and automation in 1987 as Quality Manager for a pH and ORP electrode manufacturing company in Southern California.  His responsibility for root cause analysis on sensors returned to the factory required the development of a hands-on approach to problem solving and an understanding of applications and processes in the industrial world.  That formative experience and an enduring commitment to quality have served Brian well in the subsequent disciplines he has acquired in Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.  Building on experiences with Innovative Sensors, GF Signet, Endress + Hauser, and Emerson Process Management today Brian is Director of Marketing with GF Piping Systems – engineered solutions for the conveyance, measurement and control of liquids in a wide variety of industrial, municipal and commercial applications.

Brian’s formal education includes a couple of undergraduate degrees and certifications including a Bachelor of Science in Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was selected College of Business Student of the Year by faculty in 1994.  Brian also served eleven years in the U.S. Naval Reserve.  He was born in Long Beach and raised in Anaheim, CA, and has lived in Casper, WY, Great Lakes, IL, South Lake Tahoe, CA & NV, and Seattle, WA.  He currently resides in Brea, CA with his wife, Julie, and two children, Tessa and Brock. In addition to these three loves Brian is also very attached to his motorcycles.  As often as possible he rides a Harley on the street and a Honda in the dirt, helping to explain why his golf game suffers so badly!  Brian’s other interests include people, travel, soccer, scuba diving and other water sports, bluegrass music, cooking (eating), Scotch whisky, astronomy, chess, anamorphic art, and almost anything new.
