Gordon R. Arnold, Past Chairman
Mr.
Arnold was a member of the
founding team of Sierra Monitor Corporation in 1979. He became
President in 1984 and was subsequently appointed Chief Executive
Officer, Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Arnold has been
a director since 1984 and is Chairman of the Board.
He holds a
BS in Business Administration from San Jose State College. Mr.
Arnold has extensive sales management experience including
structuring of domestic channels and international sales in Latin
America and Asia. Prior to joining Sierra Monitor, Mr. Arnold held
various supervisory and management positions in semiconductor and
electronics firms with responsibilities related to quality control,
production management and manufacturing logistics. He has
participated in the management of numerous electronic product design
teams including the development of mil-spec level instruments and
microprocessor based gas detection system. Mr. Arnold was elected
to the MCAA Board of Directors in May 2003 and was Chairman from
2006-2007. He continues to offer insight to the Board as Immediate
Past Chairman.
Gordon, who
is from Australia, and his wife, Isabel, who is from El Salvador,
have been married 36 years. They enjoy international travel
adventures, including a 2007 trip to Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet. Their
northern California location allows for great wine tasting day trips
or weekends in the Napa valley area.
